Nestled amongst the stunning mountains of Andalusia, Ignite Within is a five-day Pilates and Yin Yoga retreat designed to help you step away from everyday routines and immerse yourself in movement, reflection, laughter and genuine connection.

This will be our third year returning to this beautiful part of Spain, and for good reason. I fell in love with the fresh mountain air, the slower pace of life and the breathtaking scenery. It offers the opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday life and reconnect with what matters most.

Whether you're exploring the spectacular Caminito del Rey, enjoying nourishing meals in good company, moving your body in ways that feel supportive or simply finding a quiet corner to pause and breathe, my hope is that Ignite Within provides the time and space for you to discover what you need.

Why Andalusia?

Andalusia, Spain provides the perfect setting for Ignite Within.

The mountains invite us to slow down.

The fresh air reminds us to breathe a little more deeply.

The slower pace of life creates opportunities to step away from the busyness of everyday routines.

For those who wish to participate, there are opportunities to experience the spectacular Caminito del Rey and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding area.

Equally, there is permission to simply sit by the pool, read a book or savour a little more space and quiet than everyday life often allows.

Pilates remains at the heart of what I do.

I've spent years studying the body because I genuinely want to help people understand themselves better. My fascination with how we work as human beings continues to shape and evolve the way I support people through Pilates, Yin Yoga and movement education.

I love helping people understand the "whys" behind what they're experiencing. Rather than simply telling people what to do, I aim to help them better understand their own bodies, empowering them to make choices that feel right for them.

I don't believe there's a one-size-fits-all approach to movement. We all arrive with different experiences, different goals and different bodies, and I love helping people explore what works best for them.

You'll quickly discover that I enjoy using a wide variety of props to support learning and exploration. From bands and small equipment to my much-loved FIT balls, they all provide opportunities to challenge, support and surprise us in different ways.

Whilst I take my teaching seriously, I don't believe movement has to feel intimidating or joyless.

Learning can be fun.

Trying something new can be fun.

And there will always be laughter.

Yin Yoga & Yin-Inspired Practices

Alongside Pilates, you'll have opportunities to experience Yin Yoga and other Yin-inspired practices, including breathwork, meditation and Yoga Nidra. Yin Yoga offers us an opportunity to slow down. To become curious. To notice.

Rather than focusing on how a pose looks, Yin encourages us to tune into how it feels. It invites us to spend a little more time listening to our bodies and exploring our relationship with rest, stillness and self-awareness.

My ongoing Yin Yoga studies continue to shape and enrich the experiences I create, encouraging a deeper appreciation of the relationship between movement, rest and wellbeing.

You don't need any previous experience to take part. As with everything I teach, you'll always be encouraged to work at your own pace and approach each experience with curiosity rather than expectation.

Workshops & Shared Learning

One of the things I love most about retreat life is having the time to go deeper. The workshops we share throughout the retreat create opportunities to ask questions, explore the whys behind what we do and develop a greater understanding of ourselves.

Whether we're discussing movement and wellbeing, exploring new perspectives or simply sharing experiences, these sessions often become some of the most memorable parts of retreat.

What Might a Typical Day Look Like?

No two days are exactly the same, and the experience naturally evolves as the retreat unfolds. Across the five days, you'll enjoy a carefully balanced rhythm of movement, learning, rest and connection.

Your retreat includes:

  • Morning Pilates and movement sessions

  • Leisurely breakfasts shared together

  • Workshops exploring movement, self-understanding and the whys behind what we do

  • Time to relax by the pool, enjoy the surroundings or simply rest

  • Lunch together each day

  • Pilates, Yin Yoga and other restorative practices

  • Optional excursions, including the spectacular Caminito del Rey

  • Time for reflection, conversation and connection

  • Evening meals shared together

  • Meditation, Yoga Nidra and opportunities to unwind before bed

Whilst every retreat has its own rhythm, they all share the same intention: to create space for movement, learning, rest and genuine connection.

What Might You Take Away from Ignite Within?

Every person leaves Ignite Within with something slightly different. For some, it's a deeper understanding of their bodies and greater confidence in movement. For others, it's the realisation that rest doesn't have to be earned.

Many value the opportunity to ask questions, explore the whys behind what they're experiencing and leave with practical tools and insights they can continue to use long after the retreat has finished.

Others treasure the conversations shared over meals, the laughter, the fresh mountain air or the reassurance that they are not alone in what they're navigating.

I can't tell you exactly what Ignite Within will offer you. But my hope is that it gives you the time and space to reconnect with yourself, recognise what you need and return home with whatever feels most supportive and meaningful for you.

Is ‘Ignite Within’ For Me?

Can I come on my own?

1

Absolutely. Many people do.

Of course. People attend retreats in all sorts of ways — alone, with friends, family members and partners.

2

Can I bring my partner?

Do I need Pilates or yoga experience?

3

No. Everything can be adapted to suit different bodies, abilities and confidence levels.

My approach has always been about meeting people where they are. Options and adaptations are offered throughout.

4

Will it be too hard physically?

What if I don't want to do everything?

5

That's absolutely fine. Participation is always an invitation rather than an obligation.
